well, this past weekend, on saturday, we played at the Southgate house as part of a benefit that was held in honor of the oh so wonderful internet radio staion, WOXY.com. it was a super wonderful time and we had a whole lot of crowd support. including people singing the lyrics along with us... which was a bit wierd i must admit. good times. we're probably gonna take a bit of a break and not play out as often as we have been with the intentions of finishing up the EP we began, and we'd like to write some new songs.

and now, i shall put up two recipe's, since i'm late, and missed last week. and also of note, i have went ahead and archived the previous recipes in their own page.

Homemade Applesauce

4 medium apples
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar (brown or white)
cinnamon (a few shakes of it)
a pan<

Instructions:

1. cut up the apples into quarters and cut out the seeds and stems.
2. put the cut up apples, sugar, cinnamon and water into the pan.
3. cover and cook at medium heat (simmering) for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. let the apples cool, then mash them with a fork or potato masher.

its totally that easy! seriously... go make some applesauce.

Play Dough

1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
2 teaspoons food coloring
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup of water
plastic bag or airtight container
medium pot
2 tablespoons cream of tartar

Instructions:

1. mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a medium pot
2. add water, food coloring and oil.
3.stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, it might look like a globby mess, but it'll turn into dough, fer real.
4.when the mixture forms a ball in the center of the pot, turn off the stove and let it cool. then take it out of the pot and put it on a floured surface. then knead it.
5.when you're done, put it in a plastic bag or airtight container and store it in the fridge.

eff ya... play dough

Last Night we played at the Melody Inn for the Indianapolis Midwest Music Summit. I think we all felt pretty good about our performance, and the crowd seemed pretty receptive of the sounds that came from our amps. so thats good. A lot of people also seemed to enjoy the nifty "out of necessity" way we packaged our little free 3 song demo that we were handing out. I have to thank our resident groupie, Krista for coming up with the idea for those.

If any body who caught us at the Melody Inn happens upon our humble website, we'd like to thank you all for listening, and for not throwing any tomatoes or other assorted produce at us. although... i'm running out of groceries... i could've used a head of lettuce.

We got accepted to the Midwest Music Summit in indianapolis this year. pretty cool huh? so if you can make it there, be sure to check us out. This big indy festival thing is new to us.

We're on the waiting list for Cincinnati's Midpoint Music Festival, but im pretty sure that wont pan out. If it does, you'll know about it.

Work on a new EP is in progress, We've got a few things to over dub and vocals to lay down, but its getting close to being finished. not sure what we'll do with it when its done...i think i need some new beverage coasters.
